Get Involved

ip.space is a community project in its earliest stage. We're looking for the engineers, operators, researchers, and organizations who will build this with us.

Opportunities

Become a Founding Member

Shape the standards, policies, and governance from the ground up. Founding member status is permanent and recognized in all ip.space publications and governance documents. We are looking for satellite operators, ground station operators, network engineers, researchers, and organizations with interest in orbital datacenter connectivity.

Contribute to Working Groups

Three initial working groups -ORP, IER, and Policy -are open to community participation. All outputs are published openly and contributed to IETF and open source communities.

Partner with ip.space

Hardware manufacturers, ground station operators, system integrators, and technology vendors can join the partner directory and help define certification standards. Founding partners have direct influence over what certification looks like in their category.

Research & Academia

Universities, space agencies, and research institutions working on satellite networking, distributed systems, delay-tolerant networking, or internet governance can co-publish, participate in working groups, and influence standards development.

Donate to the Foundation

Donations support standards development, working group operations, and IER open source development. All financial contributions go directly to building the orbital internet's neutral governance layer. 501(c)(3) status pending.
